Which scans happen when in an Indian pregnancy?

    Maayesha TeamStarter post· 11d ago

Moms often ask what the usual scan schedule looks like. Most gynaecologists in India follow roughly: a dating/viability scan at 6–9 weeks, the NT scan with double marker at 11–14 weeks, the anomaly (level II) scan at 18–22 weeks, and growth scans in the third trimester. Your doctor may add more based on your history. How was it for you? Share your experience below — your story may be exactly what another mom needs today.

The NT scan window is narrow (11 weeks to 13 weeks 6 days), so book it early — many centres in metro cities fill up a week ahead.

Reach your doctor quickly if you notice bleeding, severe pain, or reduced baby movements after 28 weeks — don't wait for the next scheduled scan.

Extra scans are not automatically a sign something is wrong. Doctors often order them for reassurance, twins, or a previous history.

Carry previous reports to every scan. It helps the sonologist compare growth.
